FAQ

1. What is the difference between stamped and embossed stainless steel?

Answer:
Both processes create 3D textures on stainless steel surfaces, but the difference lies in how the pattern is formed.

  • Stamped stainless steel is made by pressing patterns into the sheet with high-tonnage molds — it can produce deeper, more defined designs, suitable for decorative and structural applications.
  • Embossed stainless steel usually has a lighter, repeating texture for anti-fingerprint or slip-resistant purposes.
In short, stamped = stronger visual effect, while embossed = subtle texture and function.

2. Can stamped sheets be used outdoors?

Answer:
Yes, stamped stainless steel sheets can be used for exterior applications, such as facades, doors, and columns.
We recommend 304 or 316 grade for outdoor use because they provide excellent corrosion resistance against rain, humidity, and pollution.
For best results, use PVD-coated or mirror finishes with protective film to maintain color and shine over time.

3. How do you protect the surface during installation?

Answer:
Each sheet is covered with PE or PVC protective film before shipment to prevent scratches.
During installation, keep the film on until the final stage, and use clean gloves and soft cloth to avoid fingerprints or damage.
After installation, gently wipe with a mild cleaner — do not use abrasive materials on the surface.

4. What’s the MOQ and lead time?

Answer:

  • MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity): Usually 50–100 sheets, depending on pattern and surface finish.
  • Lead Time: Normally 15-20 days for standard designs, and 25–30 days for customized colors or patterns.
We also support sample orders for quality checking before bulk production.
